Client: Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

Project: Patient Safety Programme

The brief

The NHS Royal Free Communications team approached Genium to address the growing concern for patient safety, asking us to create staff and patient resources to launch the patient safety week as part of the on-going programme they were due to run across the NHS Royal Free Trust sites to achieve their organisational targets for zero avoidable harm.

What we did

Genium produced a range of resources, continuing on with the contemporary branding that had been created for the NHS Royal Free Trust. Through the interactions with the Communications Team, we were able to produce a concise, focussed booklet for staff to understand the importance of running the patient safety programme. The pull up banners placed throughout the hospital used iconography to communicate the imminent, primary commitments that NHS Royal Free holds to deliver harm free care.

The impact

The resources were extremely well received by the Royal Free Communications team for delivering the communication aims in launching the safety programme for a range of stakeholders. Genium’s work on the branding for the safety programme continues to support the extending commitments being made by NHS Royal Free Foundation Trust as national leaders in Patient Safety.
